Just emerging from long-term storage, this pretty traditional vintage bullet bra boasts an elasticated back which is secured with a single plastic swimsuit style fastening with a choice of 3 positions. The concentric circle stitched bra cups are slightly stiffened to create the traditional conical effect, so typical of this era. There are 2 triangular elasticated inserts either side of the bra cups to provide that little extra stretch while the fully adjustable straps are of matching shiny peach satin fabric with a no slip backing to ensure they stay in place on the shoulders. This is a lovely example of a genuine fifties bra in fabulous condition for discerning collectors of authentic vintage underwear. This pretty vintage bra was made by VEB Miederwerk, a producer of corsetry such as bras and girdles in the small town of Pausa-Mühltroff which is located in the Saxon Vogtlandkreis region of Germany. At the time this pretty vintage bra was made, Pausa-Mühltroff was in the old East Germany (DDR). VEB Miederwerk were one of the few East German manufacturing companies with sufficiently high quality standards that they were able to export to the West.
